A New York couple was supposed to be celebrating the second day of their weekend wedding, but spent the day helping others instead. Sara Pagano and Brian Fenley had to postpone their wedding plans over coronavirus concerns and turned the day into “The Future Fenley’s Food Drive.”
The Long Island couple was disappointed with the situation, but decided to make it into something positive. They dressed up and decorated their truck then drove around collecting cans of food and checks to donate and raised $5-thousand for Island Harvest Food Bank.
“I couldn’t have imagined having to cancel my wedding and having such a great day,” the bride-to-be explains. “I’m overwhelmed by the love and generosity of the people I’ve chosen to surround myself with.”
