Rich New Yorkers Hold Socially-Distant "Cigar Club"

Several very wealthy men have decided to put together their own socially-distant cigar club in South Hampton, New York while the pandemic continues. Mitch Modell, the former owner of Modell's sporting goods, just lost his business in March after filing bankruptcy.

He and his friends in South Hampton belong to a very exclusive cigar club in Manhatten that runs him about $10,000 a month. Since that club has shut down, this group has put together a socially distant cigar club of their own. The group meets several times a week on Main Street in Southampton to enjoy cigars from the open windows of their socially-distanced Mercedes sedans and G-Wagons.

They hope they can get back to their normal lives sooner rather than later.
