NYPD Investigates 100 Bodies Left In At Least Two Trucks

Detectives in New York are investigating after 100 decomposing bodies were found in at least two trucks at a facility in Brooklyn.

They were discovered outside of the Andrew. T. Cleckley Funeral Home. Reports say the establishment's freezer broke down, resulting in a backlog of bodies going back two weeks, with some stored inside and others in the unrefrigerated U-Haul trucks outside.

A spokeswoman for the city's Health Department says that alternate arrangements for the remains were being made by the funeral home. Some involved in the case say the company got so overwhelmed with bodies they didn’t know what to do.
