NYC Health Food Company Serves Free Meals To Hospital Workers

A New York City health food company that just opened for business in February is finding a way to survive and help others during the coronavirus. Jared Lyons and his brother Kyle co-founded Served Natural, which makes balanced, individually packaged meals and delivers them to homes or workplaces. And when someone offered to donate money to buy meals for 100 medical staff members, they saw an opportunity.

Now they’re feeding hungry hospital workers good-quality food. Served Natural is providing about three-thousand meals a day and they’ve already surpassed their overall goal to supply 25-thousand meals and they’re not done yet.

Served Natural is now officially a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization and they’ve found a way to get local restaurants who might be hurting for business involved. Through a project called Feeding People, they’re giving $5 a meal to local eateries who are able to provide healthy, individually packaged food for hospital staff.
