There’ve been some nice strides made from Zoom regarding improving the security of the app. The release of Zoom 5.0 comes with boosted privacy features and AES 256-bit encryption, which “protects data while in transit.”
There’s also a “data routing” feature that allows the admin to choose where the transmission is routed through, so you can keep it out of China, if you so choose…and why wouldn’t you? Finally, Waiting Rooms and passwords will be on by default, which should significantly cut down instances of Zoom Bombing, which have been a major problem.
