New Yorker Dr. Fauci's Bobblehead Raises $100K to Buy Coronavirus Masks

The Dr. Fauci bobblehead has surpassed $100,000 in donations to support the American Hospital Association’s “100 Million Mask Challenge,” the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum announced Wednesday. Dr. Fauci has been director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984.

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know he’s often at President Trump’s side during COVID-19 press conferences, offering medical advice and appeals to the public — and not afraid to debate or disagree with other White House figures. He has achieved a cult-like status among Americans shaken by the vicious virus.

The proud New Yorker has become the hall of fame’s best-selling bobblehead of all-time in less than a week, surpassing Sister Jean Dolores Schmidti’s bobblehead, which went — no pun intended — viral in 2018, the museum said. Sister Jean is chaplain of the Loyola College Men’s basketball team, rooting on her team during the 2018 NCAA tournament.
