Harvey Weinstein Convicted of 2 Charges At Trial

Harvey Weinstein is recovering at Bellevue Hospital, after suffering heart palpitations following his conviction.

Weinstein was found guilty of third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual assault. The jury returned the verdict on its fifth day of deliberations.

Manhattan D.A. Cy Vance said. Weinstein is being held accountable for his actions.

Weinstein is a vicious serial sexual predator who used his power to threaten, rape, assault, trick, humiliate, and silence his victims,” Vance said.

Weinstein was acquitted of the two most serious charges, but still faces up to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced next month.

His attorney Arthur Aidala is promising an appeal.

“He looked at me and he just said, 'I'm innocent.' He's like, 'I'm innocent.' He's like, 'How can this happen in America?'” Aidala said.
