The stars came out for Christian Siriano’s big spring Spring Studios runway show on Thursday. New York Fashion Week isn’t without a good dose of drama, and there was some trouble before the models could hit the runway.
“Page Six” reports that some photographers duked it out ahead of the show, spooking Siriano’s VIPs in the front row – which, by the way, included the likes of Leslie Jones, Alicia Silverstone, Heidi Klum and Alexa Chung. An eyewitness says there was “a lot of commotion” and “a bit of a melee.”
But at the same time, it’s nothing new for Fashion Week. Every photographer wants that perfect shot, and sometimes elbows – and even punches – are thrown to nab it.
“There was a fistfight, and it scared celebs away,” says an eyewitness. “People were fighting over seats, and all these extra video crews were trying to film the show.”
A more wholesome moment that stole the show away from the brawling photogs? Leslie Jones made sure the whole room heard her hyping up Coco Rocha as the model struck a pose on the runway. In a clip that’s gone viral, she yells at Coco to “Work it! Work it!”
