Testing on one of three patients being evaluated for the coronavirus in New York City has come back negative.
The Health Department said the Bellevue Hospital patient doesn’t have the virus after they were admitted to the hospital on Saturday.
“We’re relieved to hear that the person in question does not have the novel coronavirus,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
Testing continues on two more patients who were admitted to hospitals in Queens on Sunday. Those results could be back as soon as Wednesday.
“I can’t say this enough: if you have the symptoms and recent travel history, please see your health provider immediately,” de Blasio said.
