Weinstein Trial: Actress Testifies He's "Deformed"

After an emotional week of testimony, the Harvey Weinstein rape trial heads into week three today. The most recent, Jessica Mann, the woman whose rape allegation led to criminal charges, took the stand Friday.

What she had to say was much like what previous accusers have offered, though hers was more complicated – by way of the how their relationship evolved – and more humiliating for Weinstein, with her description of his genitals.

Mann claimed she was first raped by Weinstein in his New York City hotel room in 2013, but that she later felt forced into participating in a relationship because of his threats – which she says she did. But his public humiliation? “The first time I saw him fully naked,” Mann testified. “I thought he was deformed and intersex.” She went on to say that he had to inject himself with erectile medication. Weinstein’s lawyer claims their relationship was entirely consensual.

Mann is the fifth woman to testify against Weinstein – and among 80 women who have accused him of sexual assault and rape. He has denied all claims saying that all interactions have been consensual.

As for Weinstein's reaction to Mann's description of his body, the disgraced producer responded sarcastically outside the courtroom when reporters asked if Mann’s description of his body was correct. He snarked that it was “perfect.”
