Mahwah Mayor John Roth is apologizing for getting really drunk at a work party back on January 10th.
He was so drunk, in fact, that he stripped off his pants, and ultimately passed out in a female co-worker's bed.
Town residents expressed a mix of shock and amusement after the mayor confirmed the incident.
The 71-year-old says he had way too much to drink at the employee's home, so he went upstairs, took off his pants and went to sleep in her bed.
Roth's wife had to come get him and take him back home. The Mahwah town attorney and Council President have declined to comment about the incident, but officials are said to be investigating.
