It looks like at least one person on Long Island isn’t a Billy Joel fan. Somebody broke into the singer’s $33-milion Long Island mansion over the weekend, shattering a glass door and vandalizing a dozen of his prized motorcycles.
The incident happened sometime between 3:30pm Saturday and 8:15am Monday, and while the vandal or vandals didn’t steal anything, cops say they caused “considerable damage” to Billy’s motorcycle collection. Billy’s office was also damaged during the incident.
So far there’s been no comment from Joel, and no word on the financial cost of the damage. Police have not yet released a description of the suspect.
