Car Set Ablaze After Plowing Into Queens Building

A 55-year-old woman who lost control of her car and plowed into a Queens funeral home has been released from the hospital with minor injuries.

The woman, who was not identified, lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the Doyle B. Shaffer Funeral Home near the intersection of Little Neck Parkway and Northern Boulevard Sunday night at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The accident set the car ablaze and left a huge hole in the building's façade .

According to an article published in the New York Post, the Department of Buildings inspected the funeral home and deemed it structurally sound.
