Queens Woman Killed By Falling Construction Debris

A 67-year-old Queens woman was killed today when she was hit by a piece of plywood that was ripped loose from construction scaffolding by gusting winds.

According to an article published in the New York Post, the unidentified victim was walking on Main Street near 41st Road in Flushing when a sheet of plywood got caught in high winds and crashed down on her.

First responders rushed the woman to New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens, where she was pronounced dead.

Wind gusts could reach up to 50mph in the Tri-state area today.
