Suffolk County police have shot and killed a suspect who pointed a gun at officers.
Cops pulled over a car on Thursday night near the Long Island Rail Road station in Brentwood. Police said the suspect ran from the vehicle with a backpack and brandished a weapon.
Officers attempted to use a Taser on the suspect, but it didn’t work.The officers then shot the suspect and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear if the suspect fired any shots, but a handgun was recovered.
No officers were injured.
