The MTA said on-time performance by the subway system reached 81.8 percent on weekdays in November, up 17 percent from a year before.
“The data doesn’t lie: subway service is demonstrably better, more customers are taking the subways, and the service continues to improve each month thanks to the hard work of our employees and smarter operations,” MTA Chairman Pat Foye said in a statement.
The MTA also said that “running times” are improved on every line in the subway system. Officials said in many cases, commuters have had minutes taken off their commute.
