The City Council has struck a deal that will ban the sale of flavored e-cigarettes in New York City.
The move comes after a second New Yorker died from vaping earlier this week. It’s a health epidemic that’s sickened and killed dozens of people across the country.
Advocates of the measure say the flavored e-cigarettes are getting kids addicted to vaping. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that more than 1 in 4 high school students vape.
The City Council is expected to approve the ban on Tuesday.
