Some New York City police officers are letting it all grow this month for a good cause. NYPD cops assigned to One Police Plaza security detail have been growing out their mustaches in November to raise money for the Movember Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer, along with other men’s health issues.
To participate, every November, men put down their razors and donate the cash they would’ve spent on shaving for the month. So far, these NYPD officers have raised $1,060 and they hope to bring in even more by the end of Movember.
