Stand Up For Heroes kicked off the New York Comedy Festival with a first ever collaboration by Bruce Springsteen and Sheryl Crow.
The two did an acoustic take on Crow’s anti-war song “Redemption Day. “ Springsteen then did his own set of hits, including “I’m on Fire” and “Land of Hopes and Dreams.”
The 13th annual Stand Up for Heroes event benefits the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which supports injured soldiers and their families. During the Comedy festival, over 200 comedians will entertain at venues across the city. It’s staged by the fame comedy club Caroline’s.
