Harvey Weinstein thought he was going to enjoy an evening out with friends on Wednesday night in New York City. Instead, he ended up getting an earful from a woman who couldn’t take it.
Zoe Stuckless was in the audience at the Actors Hour at the Downtime Bar on the Lower East Side. The event is billed as “an open space for creative to share what they love.” One of the comedians, Kelly Bachman, called Harvey out as the “Freddy Krueger in the room,” and was met by boos from what sounded like the males in the room.
That’s when Zoe went off. She was like, “Nobody’s gonna say anything?” She repeated the question as she walked up to Harvey and said, “I’m gonna stand four feet from a [freaking] rapist and no one’s gonna say anything?” He didn’t respond – but his bodyguard and organizers from the event did. They politely escorted her out.
According to Weinstein’s spokesperson, “Harvey Weinstein was out with friends enjoying the music and trying to find some solace in his life that has been turned upside down. This scene was uncalled for, downright rude and an example of how due process today is being squashed by the public, trying to take it away in the courtroom too.” He’s entered a not guilty plea and is currently awaiting trial.
