Sam Darnold Cleared From Mono, Will Play This Sunday

Great news for Jets fans, after QB Sam Darnold was examined by doctors yesterday and has been cleared to return the field this Sunday. Darnold has battled mononucleosis for several weeks.

Of course, the bad news is the only difference between when his Jets host Dallas this week and the last time he played is the winless Jets have three more losses—and head coach Adam Gase is four weeks closer to being fired.

Darnold recently shed some light on just how dangerous it would have been for him to play before doctors cleared him, which made it seem like he could still be several weeks away. He should give the Jets a boost on offense, though they are facing a solid Cowboys team that will be hungry to get back in the win column following a tough loss to the Green Bay Packers.
