Mayor De Blasio Reflects On Presidential Campaign

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the good thing about dropping out of the race for president is that he won’t have to “schlep around” anymore.

De Blasio said he thought he had something to offer.

“Obviously when you go out there and you try and get something done, it doesn't work out, that’s, on one level, sad, but on another level I felt like I raised some really important issues and I’m going to keep working on those issues,” de Blasio said.

But he’s looking forward to being in the city more and not having to travel around the country.

“It's nice to not have to schlep around. That was kind of relief to have just a less busy schedule in terms of travel,” de Blasio said.
