New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is creating a task force to address the dangers of vaping.
He said the group will have three weeks to develop a strategy to protect people from the hazards of e-cigarettes.
“As state leaders charged with protecting the safety and health of the New Jersey public, we must have a more complete understanding of the risks associated with this all-too-common practice, and the options available to address e-cigarette use,” Murphy said.
Earlier this week, State Senate President Steve Sweeney said he was working on legislation that would phase in a complete ban of vaping over the course of several years.
