An electrician working on a traffic light in Queens was killed on Thursday morning after falling from a cherry picker.
The unidentified 59-year-old was up in the air on Grand Avenue and Goldsmith Street when his vehicle was struck by a box truck. The man fell about 20 feet to the ground.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene.
