Panic After Security Scare At Newark Airport

A scare at Newark Airport on Monday night sent people running from Terminal A.

Around 8:30 p.m., a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines approached two men near Gate 30 and became concerned after talking with them. The men then began running and she hit an alarm, leading to the evacuation.

Upwards of 200 people fled the terminal.

Authorities have questioned the two men.No charges have been filed.

It’s unclear what the nature of the conversation was that left the flight attendant concerned.
