A funeral is being held in Monroe on Friday for New York City firefighter Brian Sullivan.
The 54-year-old Lieutenant died of a heart attack at his home last weekend, just hours after fighting a fire in the Bronx. Sullivan had just finished a 24-hour shift and his death is considered in the line of duty because he talked to colleagues about being in pain.
Sullivan worked at FDNY Squad Company 41 and responded to more than half a dozen calls during his final shift.
