Surging Mets Win 6th Straight, 13th In Past 14 Games

The Mets just keep winning—finishing a sweep of the Miami Marlins yesterday afternoon with a 7-2 win.

And the only thing I seem to be saying more than “the Mets win”— which now has been uttered after their past six games and 13 of their last 14—is “Pete Alonso homered.”

Which he wasted no time in doing yesterday, belting this two-run shot to get the ball rolling for the Mets in the first inning.

Michael Conforto added two more of his own and Jeff McNeilhit a two-run shot as well as the win moved the surging Mets to within one game of the NL wildcard.

They look simply amazin’.
