A one-year old boy is okay, after he was inside an SUV that was stolen in Brooklyn on Monday night.
The boy’s mother apparently left him inside a running Mitsubishi at Kingston Avenue and Deen Street while she ran into a store. A suspect came upon the car and drove off, leading to an Amber Alert being issued.
A nanny received the alert and spotted the vehicle. She matched the license plate to the report and alerted authorities.
The car was recovered on Park Place in Crown Heights and the boy was asleep in the back seat. The suspect had already escaped and remains on the loose.
No charges have been filed against the mother.
