Officials: Two Pilots Arrested For Drinking Before Flight To NJ

Travelers flying from Glasgow, Scotland to Newark, New Jersey had their flight abruptly cancelled on Saturday – because their pilots were allegedly drunk. Officials say the pair were arrested in Scotland because they allegedly drank alcohol before they were scheduled to fly to the U.S.

Both men reportedly failed a Breathalyzer. The United Airlines pilots, only identified as being aged 45 and 61, will remain in custody until a hearing today.

The company said they have a strict zero tolerance policy for alcohol.
