Alleged Drunk Driver Slams Into Backhoe, Kills Passenger

An alleged drunk driver was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter after he slammed into a parked backhoe and killed the passenger in his vehicle.

According to a story published on nbcnewyork.com. Anthony Wallace was driving his car with his friend Tyrone Scott in the passenger seat when he slammed into a parked piece of construction equipment. The force of the crash ripped the top off the vehicle and completely demolished the rest of the car.

When first responders got to the scene Tyrone Scott was pronounced dead and Anthony Wallace was complaining of chest pains as well as neck and back injuries.

As police investigated the accident site and Wallace's vehicle they found marijuana and other unidentified substances strewn throughout the car.

Wallace is being held until his arraignment is scheduled. It is not known if he has retained an attorney at this time.
