Another biker has been killed in New York City, the 18th this year.
The 30-year-old biker was riding in the area of 36th Street and 3rd Avenue in Sunset Park on Monday morning. As they were riding, a car door opened in their path and the biker wound up being hit by a tractor trailer.
The biker was pronounced dead at the hospital.
“It is AGAINST the law to open a car door into the path of a cyclist. Our lives are in each other’s hands.We must act like it,” Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted.
It’s unclear if any charges will be filed.
