Remember last month when the Red Sox and Yankees combined for 50 runs in a two-game series in London?
Well, they picked up right where they left off last night.
Or at least the Red Sox sure did, as they pasted the Yankees by a score of 19-3 and, really, the game was over in the first when the Red Sox rocked Masahiro Tanaka for seven runs.
The Yankees probably aren’t too worried about it though, as they still lead the Sox by 10 games Thing is, the Sox moved into a second-place tie with the idle Rays with the win.
And given the Rays just lost former Cy Young winner Blake Snell ‘til at least September with elbow surgery...
Something tells me the Yanks better get used to the Sox nipping at their heels the rest of the way.
