The YMCA that Mayor de Blasio was working out in this morning was temporarily shut down after receiving a bomb threat. The threatening call came into the YMCA at the Park Slope Armory at approximately 7:30 am.
During the threatening phone call, the fake bomber said she was going to blow up the YMCA because Mayor de Blasio "Likes black people and is running for President."
After the gym was searched for 20 minutes by the NYPD Emergency Services Unit the all-clear was given and people went back to their workouts.
Mayor de Blasio told the New York Daily News, "We don't run in the face of that kind of stuff. As New Yorkers we go about our business no matter what's thrown at us."
First Lady Chirlane McCray was also at the gym at the time of the bomb threat but did not make a statement to the press.
