A suspect has been seriously injured after a police involved shooting in the Bronx.
Video shot by a witness shows officers wrestling with the man at West 166th Street and Summit Avenue. Then an officer fires two shots, injuring the suspect.
“As the officers began to put the individual under arrest, a struggle ensued. The officers were equipped with body warn cameras, both on and it captures the suspect saying, quote, I have a gun, expletive, die,” Monahan said.
A gun was recovered at the scene.
The suspect is being treated at Lincoln Hospital, while two officers were taken to the hospital for ringing in the ears.
