Security will be very tight for the annual fireworks show in New York City.
There will be a large police presence, along with weapon teams, a heavy weapons teams and drone teams. There will also be a ban on umbrellas and big bags in the viewing areas.
The fireworks will be set off from the Brooklyn Bridge this year. That means the bridge will close at 2 o’clock on Thursday and there will also be street closures in Lower Manhattan.
“I can tell you there are no credible specific threats to our July 4 celebrations or to NYC in general,” Police Commissioner James O’Neill said.
