The Nassau County Police are looking for a man who attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl as she walked home from her Long Island school.
The unidentified teenager told authorities that she noticed the man standing in the parking lot of Lawrence Road Middle School when she left her summer program at approximately 12:30 pm.
As the victim walked home she noticed the man was walking behind her at a quick pace. The middle-schooler began running for her house but the man closed the distance between them and grabbed her from behind.
According to an article published in the New York Post, the man grabbed the girl and covered her mouth while attempting to drag her behind a parked car.
The victim was able to fight the man off and safely get to her home where she notified her parents of the close call.
