Governor Cuomo: Trump Says Most Absurd Things

Governor Andrew Cuomo says President Trump’s “paranoia is once again getting the better of him.”

Cuomo responded on a conference call after he was attacked by President Trump on Twitter.

“Nothing that man can say can surprise me or the people of this country. He says the most absurd things,” Cuomo said.

The president issued a series of tweets on Monday, where he attacked the governor and accused Cuomo of using the attorney general’s office against him.

“It is very hard and expensive to live in New York.Governor Andrew Cuomo uses his Attorney General as a bludgeoning tool for his own purposes,” Trump tweeted.

He complained that the Attorney General’s office sues on everything saying they went after his Foundation and are “harassing” his businesses.

“So, on top of ridiculously high taxes, my children and companies are spending a fortune on lawyers. No wonder people and businesses are fleeing New York in record numbers!” Trump said.

Cuomo said he doesn’t have control over the attorney general’s office and if the president did nothing wrong then he has nothing to worry about. The governor said he’s worked to reduce taxes and New Yorkers are only paying more because of federal changes that limits SALT deductions.

“If he wants to look the person in the eye who raised taxes in New York, the president should look in the mirror and he will get his answer there,” Cuomo said.
