Tiffany Caban is celebrating, after claiming victory Tuesday night in the Democratic primary for Queens District Attorney.
But Queens Borough President Melinda Katz isn’t conceding, saying the race is still too close to call.
Caban received some big time endorsements, including from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Katz had the backing of Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The winner of the primary is expected to easily claim the general election in November.The winner will succeed Richard Brown, who died last month at the age of 86.
