Cops in Fairfield, New Jersey have shot and killed a coyote that attacked a mother and her 4-year-old son.
The two were walking through a park on Thursday night when the coyote went at them.
"When she turned around basically the coyote lunged at her, bit her in the leg. At that time the stroller turned over. The coyote went after the child and bit him in his leg,” Police Chief Anthony Manna said.
Witnesses came to help the mother and son and the coyote fled. A search began for the animal and was spotted by Sergeant Frank Tracey. He shot and killed the coyote after it lunged at him.
