Politically Charged Street Art Installations Seized By The NYPD

The group No Kids In Cages set up 24 art installations throughout NYC to protest the Trump administration's policy of separating kids from their parents when arrests are made at the southern border.

The two dozen pieces of street art have children sized mannequins wrapped in foil blankets, with their feet and hair showing, stuffed in animal cages with signs attached that read #nokidsincages. 18 of the installations were also accompanied by audio of children crying for their parents.

NYPD reports confirm that they have picked up the politically charged art pieces in the Meat Packing District, Midtown, Columbus Circle, and on Chambers and Centre Street near City Hall.

An NYPD spokesperson told the New York Daily News that alarmed New Yorkers were flooding emergency phone lines with calls reporting the disturbing street art.

NYPD Detectives are investigating the group No Kids in Cages to determine if harassment charges are warranted.
