Senators Chuck Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand better keep their heads on a swivel because the political juggernaut known Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is said to be mulling over a run for one of their jobs.
According to the political talk show "Axios on HBO" the Democratic Representative and her socialist ideas are gaining such popularity she may look to take out Schumer in 2022 or Gillibrand in 2024.
Cortez has ruffled the feathers of old school Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer by spearheading several progressive ideas without the approval of the rank and file.
According to a Harris poll, the popularity of socialism with women between the ages of 18-54 has grown to 55%.
When asked about a possible Senate run, Cortez spokesperson Corbin Trent was quoted in the New York Post saying, "Having worked on her campaign, I don't think we're going to be moving to a different role anytime soon."
