The Mets and Yankees begin the first Subway Series of 2019 in the Bronx on Monday night.
Both teams are coming off wins, after the Yankees topped the Cleveland Indians in 10 innings and the Mets defeated the Colorado Rockies.
Masahiro Tanaka gets the start for the Yankees, while Jason Vargas will be on the mound for the Mets. The Yankees are tied for first place in the A.L. East with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Mets are five games back in the N.L. East.
