Tornado warnings remain up throughout a big portion of the U.S. A tornado already hit part of North Texas yesterday, and tornado watches are in effect for most of Pennsylvania, parts of New Jersey, Arkansas and Oklahoma. This includes tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail.
At last check, the U.S. has had 352 reported tornadoes in 22 states in the last 12 days. May has been the most active month for tornadoes since April 2011, when over 800 tornadoes were reported.
Meanwhile, some major damage is being reported from a tornado near Canton, Texas. Officials say that southwest of Canton, a group of homes suffered catastrophic damage with top floors of two story homes ripped off and roofs destroyed. Debris is scattered across the area.
