Storms Tear Through Northern New Jersey

Officials on Wednesday will determine whether a tornado touched down in Stanhope, New Jersey.

Strong storms tore through the northern part of the state on Tuesday night, bringing down trees and power lines throughout the area. Thousands were left without power.

The storm also caused damage to Lenape Valley Regional High School in Stanhope. A banquet was taking place at the school on Tuesday night when the storm struck, causing people inside to be safely evacuated. There is no school for students on Wednesday.
