City Hall Employee Pleads Guilty In Child Pornography Case

A member of the NYC's Department of Design and Construction has pleaded guilty to child porn charges and will spend between 1 and 3 years behind bars.

Jacob Schwartz admitted to downloading over 3,000 child pornography pictures and nearly 90 videos from the internet that featured children as young as 6 months old engaged in sexual acts.

Schwartz, who was initially arrested in December of 2017, had been holding out for a no-jail plea deal for months, but authorities would not budge on the condition of his incarceration.

According to an article published in the New York Post, both Jacob and his father Arthur Schwarz share interest in the political arena. The older Schwartz is a democratic insider and practicing labor lawyer and Jacob Schwartz served as the President of the Manhattan Young Democrats until charges were filed against him.

Schwartz was dismissed from his computer programming job at the city's Department of Design and Construction after he was arrested in 2017.
