Suspect Arrested For Pulling Subway Brakes

Cops have busted the man who has allegedly been pulling the emergency brake on subway trains.

Isaiah Thompson, 23, is facing charges of reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. He’s been charged in connection with two incidents, but police believe he may be responsible for upwards of 40 cases where trains had the emergency brake deployed.

“This is stupid. It’s dangerous. It’s selfish and it’s gotta stop,” NYC Transit President Andy Byford said earlier this week.

The MTA believes the suspect used a master key to gain access to the operator’s car. He then pulled the emergency brake and would flee the train into the subway tunnel.

The NYPD called it dangerous and Byford said he’d like to ban the suspect from the subway.
