Poll: Mayor De Blasio Unpopular Among Democratic Candidates

A new poll shows Mayor Bill de Blasio is the least liked candidate in the Democratic race for president.

The Quinnipiac University survey shows 45 percent of likely voters view de Blasio unfavorably, while only 8 percent view him favorably. While the unfavorable rating of Senator Bernie Sanders is higher at 48 percent, 41 percent have a positive view of him.

The most popular Democrat in the race is former Vice President Joe Biden. His favorable rating is 49 to 39 and is the only Democrat with a positive score.

"It's former Vice President Joseph Biden and then there's everyone else, descending from Sen. Bernie Sanders to Sen. Elizabeth Warren to Sen. Kamala Harris to a bunch of people most Democrats have never heard of," Quinnipiac assistant director Tim Malloy said in a statement.

The poll also has bad news for President Donald Trump. Voters give the president a negative 38 to 57 approval rating and 54 percent said they “definitely” will not vote for him in 2020. In comparison, 31 percent said they “definitely” will vote for him.
