Summer Camp Employee Takes Plea Deal In Sex Abuse Case

Former Long Island school teacher and camp counselor Dylan Stolz accepted a plea deal in which he will serve 4 and a half years behind bars for molesting young boys between the ages of seven and 10 years old.

Stolz who formerly taught fourth grade at Ogden Elementary school in Valley Stream also served as a camp counselor for 33 summers at Brent Lake Camp north of Lake George.

Stolz was arrested after a 9-year-old boy wrote home and told his mother that Stolz had touched his penis.

After Stolz's arrest, several other boys who spent time at the camp also came forward and claimed they were molested as well.

Both Stolz and his lawyer James Knox maintained his innocence until finally agreeing to an Alford Plea which means he doesn't have to admit guilt but he understands that prosecutors have enough evidence to convict him.

According to an article published in the New York Post, Stolz said he was innocent as he left the courtroom.
