New York Most Diverse City According To Millennials

If you’re looking for the perfect spot for millennials to live, book the next flight to Texas. According to the US Cities Scorecard for Millennials, out of all the U.S cities, Austin is the friendliest and cleanest.

So why are they focusing on millennials? Well, we are becoming the prime household spenders. Remember when Amazon was looking to build the HQ2 in New York earlier this year? They wanted a city that already had the amenities that its younger tech employees expected. Aka, millennials are who they’re interested in the most.

Researchers spoke to three-thousand millennials from 22 metropolitan cities in the US and were asked to answer this question, “Considering costs (what I give) and benefits (what I get), how worth it is it to reside in this city”?

As for other cities that ranked well in the study:

  1. Houston– Best Overall Value
  2. New York– Most Diverse
  3. Denver– Best Access to Nature
  4. Los Angeles– Best Climate
  5. Portland– Best Parks and Green Spaces
