A toddler is dead after she was found in the backseat of a car that was on fire in Queens.
“FDNY firefighters extinguished the flames and then discovered an unconscious 3-year-old child in the rear seat,” NYPD Deputy Chief Joseph Gallucci said.
The girl was rushed to the hospital where she later died. She has been identified as Zoey Pereira.
Pereira’s father was taken into custody.
